Major US Government study finds link between phone radiation and cancer in male rats

Major US Government study finds link between phone radiation and cancer in male rats

A major, multi-year, peer-reviewed study has found a link between phone radiation and cancer in rats.

The study found 'low incidence' of two types of tumors in male rats exposed to phone radiation: gliomas, located in the glial cells of the brain, and schwannomas in the heart.

"It is important to note that previous human, observational data collected in earlier, large-scale population-based studies have found limited evidence of an increased risk for developing cancer from cellphone use," the National Health Institute had said earlier, before the study was published.

And while there is no evidence on such conclusive evidence of a link between phone radiation and cancer on humans, even the low incidence of occurrence in rats is a cause for concern.

"Given the widespread global usage of mobile communications among users of all ages, even a very small increase in the incidence of disease resulting from exposure to [radio-frequency radiation] could have broad implications for public health," a report of partial findings from the study mentioned.
As to this latest $25 million study, it's one of the largest-scale investigations on the connections between phone radiation and cancer. The study took place in an underground lab, where 21 radio-frequency chambers were specifically designed for mice and rats. Over 2,500 rats and mice were exposed to cell phone radiation in different intervals over the course of two years. The study beamed GSM and CDMA signal in the 900 MHz range for rats and 1900 MHz for mice. Those are common frequencies used by mobile carriers like Verizon and AT&T. The animals were exposed to that signal every 10 minutes, then got a 10-minute break over the course of 18 hours for a total of 9 hours of exposure per day.

Interestingly, female rats did not suffer from the same consequences and were largely unaffected (the only thing that was noticed were slightly lower birth weights for pregnant rats).

And while these latest findings might not change the US Government's official position saying there is not enough scientific data to prove phone radiation could be harmful to humans, it might spur new and more detailed studies.

At the same time, just a couple of weeks earlier, another large study in Australia found no correlation between the growing exposure to phones and brain cancer rates.

Leaked diagrams reveal that the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus will be slightly thicker

Diagrams allegedly revealing the measurements of theApple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus surfaced today, revealing that the upcoming new iPhone models will be a tad thicker than the Apple iPhone 6s andApple iPhone 6s Plus. While the iPhone 6s measures 7.1mm thick, the leaked diagram of the iPhone 7 reveals it to be 7.2mm thick. And the iPhone 7 Plus will also be 1mm thicker at 7.3mm, according to a second diagram.

Leaked diagrams reveal that the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus will be slightly thicker

The height and width of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 both measure 138.3mm x 67.1mm. The height and width of the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 7 Plus both measure 158.2mm x 77.9mm. Again, the only difference in size between last year's and this year's models is the additional 1mm in thickness that will apparently be found on this year's handsets. Apple users are hoping that the extra mm in thickness is the result of a higher capacity battery.

The diagrams also show that the iPhone 7 Plus will feature a dual camera setup, while the iPhone 7 will carry a single camera on the back. And it appears that the iPhone 7 Plus will have a Smart Connector port on the rear. This will allow it to sync with the Smart Keyboard used on the Apple iPad Pro. It isn't known if Apple plans on producing other Smart Connector accessories designed specifically for the handset.

Samsung is developing a next-gen 5.5-inch 4K display, specially designed for VR

Samsung is developing a next-gen 5.5-inch 4K display, specially designed for VR
Earlier this week, Samsung revealed a prototype 5.5-inch 4K display at the Display Week conference in San Francisco.

The small high-res display boasts a resolution of 3840x2160 and a pixel density of 806 PPI. Just for reference – the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive both currently have a resolution of 2160x1200.

The display is still a prototype, so it's highly unlikely that it will be featured in the upcoming Galaxy Note device, despite rumors that it will boast a 4K screen. This is further backed by the fact that, since the Note 5 had a 5.7 inch screen, it is very unlikely that Samsung will decrease the display real estate of the next Note device.

It's still unclear what Samsung will be using its highspec'd screen for – and when – but the Korean manufacturer's partnership with Oculus might mean that we could first see it in action in an upcoming headset from John Carmack and co.

UploadVR's Will Mason, who's had the chance to see Samsung's new screen for himself, reports that “display itself was pretty gorgeous, bright with excellent contrast and color – however it seemed to be running a lower frame rate, so it may currently have a less than optimal refresh rate for VR.”

High-res screens are not the only VR tech Samsung is working on. At Display Week in SA, the company also showcased a new technology called “Bio Blue”, which is aimed at reducing the potentially harmful blue light, emitted from screens. Samsung claims that the new technology could reduce the levels of blue light emitted from current AMOLED displays from 32 to only 6 percent.

So, although we don't know when we'll see Samsung's new technology in action, let's not forget Sony's Xperia Z5 Premium with its 801 PPI display. Sony still doesn't have a mobile VR offering, and we can't help but wonder why. The Z5 Premium would be perfect for the job. Did Samsung just give a great idea to the competition? Tell us what you think in the comments bellow.

Google says Daydream VR probably isn't compatible with today's best phones

Google says Daydream VR probably isn't compatible with today's best phones
Add caption
One of the many interesting announcements at Google I/O was the Daydream VR plans. Google laid out the hardware requirements and performance necessary for VR to be viable on mobile devices. Unfortunately, the requirements Google put forward may be too high even for the best phones on the market today.

Clay Bayvor, Google's head of VR, said flat out that "there will most likely not be any ‘retroactively’ Daydream-ready phones" and that the best option for those out there who want a Daydream-ready phone would be to "hold off for a few months" in order to make sure your device is ready for VR. Of course, developers still need something to work with so Google does recommend the Nexus 6P for development purposes, but even Google's flagship apparently won't be compliant for the consumer-facing VR experience.
The reason for the trouble is that Google wants to make sure devices are unquestionably ready for VR, because otherwise it would not only pull users out of the experience, but it could contribute to motion sickness. So, devices need to have very high resolution displays with ultra fast refresh times in order to minimize latency, and motion tracking also needs to be finely tuned to make sure the on-screen experience follows you in the real world.

YouTube Red now also available in Australia and New Zealand

After launching it in the US last year, Google has expanded the availability of the YouTube Red ad-free subscription service to a couple of more countries - the service is now available in Australia and New Zealand as well.

Apparently, the search giant hasn't yet made a formal announcement in this regard, just the YouTube help pages were updated with the new locations. Also, it isn't yet clear how much the service will cost in these new regions.
To refresh, aside from being ad-free, YouTube Red also lets you save videos on your mobile for viewing offline, as well as supports background playback. It costs $9.99 a month, and comes with a one-month free trial.

Google says you’ll soon be able to use Android Auto without a compatible car

Google I/O brought the announcement that might make many Android using drivers pretty happy. Google has announced that soon the Android Auto app will be fully accessible through your phone’s screen and will no longer require an actual radio compatible with the platform. All you would need in order to use Android Auto is to hook up your audio to your car via 3.5mm auxiliary jack or Bluetooth streaming.
Google has also announced new features to the platform such as voice activation and Waze integration. But the bigger news is that Google has allowed for car-makers to customize Android Auto however they would like for their own car-related software needs like road-side assistance or scheduling an appointment with the nearest service center. The first car makers on board with these new Android Auto Apps are Honda and Hyundai. Integration at this level will allow carmakers to give drivers a more seamless experience into Android Auto all without having to leave the Auto interface.

This brings us back to the days of Android’s Car Mode which used to be baked into Android 2.3 Gingerbread and offered a simple interface surrounded by voice commands and large buttons to access the dialer, music app, and navigation controls.
Car mode was something that everyone eventually forgot about until a couple of years or so ago when Android introduced Android Auto which brought the idea of Android Apps right into your car’s head unit. Android Auto allows you to handle voice calls, messages, music and navigation while keeping your distractions at the minimal level. There is still no word on when exactly Google will update Android Auto for such new features but we can expect it somewhat soon.

Google confirms it is developing VR headset and controller

If you recall, when Google announced Daydream VR platform at the ongoing I/O 2016 conference a couple of days ago, the company revealed that it has created a reference design for a virtual reality headset as well as a controller that will be shared with partners.
While that gave an impression that Google itself won't be launching such a product, the search giant has now confirmed otherwise.
The confirmation came from Google's VR division head Clay Bavor who said that the Mountain View, California based company is developing its own VR headset and controller. Sadly, he didn't reveal anything else about the headset, including whether it's smartphone-based or a standalone headset.
In case you missed, there were rumors that Google will unveil a standalone VR headset at this year's I/O conference.

What is Beatitude ??

                             Image result for beatitude images

                                       Image result for beatitude images
                                    Image result for beatitude images
                             Image result for beatitude images
                             Image result for beatitude images

When there is not Electronic media and internet in life of people

Image result for life without electronic media

There are many electronic media in our life, such as video games, computers, TV and cell phones. The electronic media have advantages and disadvantages. If we make good use of electronic media, we will get good benefits from them. Most of us rely on electronic media deeply. If electronic media disappeared someday, what would occur to us? As far as I am concerned, the disappearing of the electronic media would influence us in searching for information, communicating with friends and family, and getting news.

First of all, the disappearing of the electronic media would influence our way of searching for information. For example, when we need to search for information for our report, we use the computer to do that. Using computers to search for information is very convenient and fast. We can also save much time looking for information. By contrast, if we couldn’t use computers to look for information, we would spend a lot of time searching from newspapers, magazines and books. The computer is a very convenient tool for us to locate the information we need.
Image result for life without electronic media
The second reason is that it was not convenient for us to communicate with our friends and family if there were no cell phones or telephones. For example, when we had something serious to tell our friends or family, we could only use letters to communicate with them or we could only talk with them face to face. Those two ways are inconvenient for us. Without cell phones or telephones, we cannot communicate with our friends and family immediately.

Image result for life without electronic media
Third, it is not convenient for us to get the news immediately. We use TV or computers to get the news around the world when any event happens. Without a TV or a computer we cannot know the news immediately and we may not follow the footsteps of the world. We can only read news items on newspapers that are usually hours even days later than the occurrence of the events. In short, electronic media have a great impact on us. We use electronic media every day, and they influence us in every aspect of our life. If we did not have electronic media, it wouldn’t be convenient for us to do anything.
